Kazakhstan and Switzerland use the EXPO site to expand cooperation


Almaty. 4 April. 7kun.kz — Kazakhstan and Switzerland intend to use the EXPO-2017 site to expand bilateral cooperation in education, science, technology, traditional and alternative energy.

April 6-7, 2017 Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Switzerland Zhanar Aitzhanova met with the head of Switzerland’s Presence, Ambassador Nikola Bid, Director of the Federal Energy Office Benoit Reva, President of the Zurich Canton Mario Ferom and Rector of the University of Applied Sciences of Zurich to the capacity of Jean-Marc Pieve.

Zh. Aitzhanova stressed that EXPO-2017 is intended to become a platform for intensifying scientific and technical cooperation between our countries, and thanked the Swiss side for organizing the visit of the Kazakh universities to Switzerland in February this year.

The international specialized exhibition in Astana also became one of the key themes with the director of the Federal Bureau of Energy Benois Reva. The parties agreed that EXPO-2017 will give impetus to the further development of energy cooperation at the level of departments and, especially, between such companies of the two countries.
