Since February 1, 2016, National bank of Kazakhstan raises deposit rates in tenge from 10% to 14% in order to attract individuals to save money in tenge, the main regulators reported.
According to the officials from JSC "Kazakhstan Fund of Guaranteeing Deposits", also planned to decrease the rates in foreign currency from 3% to 2% for exceeding customer loyalty to the national currency.
"It was a right time to increase rates on deposits. We now discussed this question, and I decided that within the next month we will start to accept deposits in tenge with income of 14%", - National bank Face Daniar Akishev reported.
Till February, the maximum recommended remuneration rates on deposits of individuals in national currency remains 10%, in foreign currency acoounts 3%.
