Nearly three thousand Kazakhstan citizens showed willingness to become deputies of regional membership of parliament
Central Electoral Commission summed up the results of the first 15 days of preparation for snap elections in Mazhilis of Parliament and its regional membership.
"Candidates are very active in North Kazakhstan, Karaganda, East Kazakhstan, Kostanay regions," Lyazzat Suleymen, a member of Central Electoral Commission of Kazakhstan, declared at a briefing.
According to her, most of the applicants are the nonparty citizens who are independent candidates. In total, by this moment, nearly three thousand candidates are proposed.
As noted in the Central Electoral Commission, four political parties represented their candidates to lower party of Parliament. Nur Otan added to list 127 of its members. Auyl, social democratic party, listed 19 candidates and the Communistic party of Kazakhstan has 22 members in their nominee list. Out of that, Ak Zhol, headed by Azat Peruashev, pointed 35 members, at least, to get 9 places in Mazhilis.
According to the planned schedule approved by the Central Electoral Commission, promotion of candidates for maslikhat, regional members of a lower house of Kazakh Parliament, will last until February 19.
