Daniar Akishev, Governor of National Bank, said it's better to save money on a principle of 50:50. Citizens of Kazakhstan have to save half of their savings in national currency and the second half in foreign currencies.
During the Parliament session, Mr. Akishev noted that in order to keep money from devaluation Kazakhstan citizens have to save them in national currency as well as in foreign, too. Because all kinds of changes might happen in the currency market.
"Deposits in tenge will allow increasing base of funding our economy in national currency. National Bank had increased the maximum rate on deposits in national currency from 10% to 14% since Fabruary 1," governor said.
