In exchange centres of Almaty, the maximum dollar exchange rate is noted at the level of 359,5 tenges. The average rate of the dollar at day session of the Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) made on January 11, 2016, 357,66 tenges, Kapital.kz with reference to these exchanges reports.

According to KASE, at the auction of US dollar on Monday at day session the minimum course developed at the level of 356,45 tenges for US dollar, the maximum is above 358,50 tenges, a closing course is 358,10 tenges. The trading volume on US dollar at day session made on January 11 87 million 200 thousand dollars. A number of transactions on operations with currency are 144.

On August 20 the current year, Kazakhstan passed to freely floating rate of tenge. Besides, the National Bank of Kazakhstan made the statement that reduces the participation in the domestic currency market for the preservation of reserves. As noted in National Bank, it corresponds to its earlier declared policy on a free exchange rate formation mechanism and transition to inflationary targeting.
