Kazakh Ombudsman Aset Isekeshov has entrusted to the Committee for Human Rights to collect all the information about adopted children in our country. Mr. Isekeshov expressed about ensuring the rights of the Kazakhstan children adopted abroad, in particular, in the USA.
Ombudsman official set this question after the tragic incident which happened in the USA on February 26.
According to Committee, 8805 children from Kazakhstan has been adopted since 1999. About 6609 kids out of total number, were brought by the US families. Committee hasn't got the post adoption report from new families of 673 children yet and there is no information about other 237 adopted children.
Kazakh Ombudsman urged regional state agencies to make additional efforts on ensuring the rights of Kazakhstan citizens.
