"There were 28 women (26,2%) out of 107 in previous Parliament of Kazakhstan. Now, this percentage would probably go up to 30%," Raushan Sarsembayeva, president of Businesswomen Association in Kazakhstan, said.
During a briefing of Central Electoral Commission (CEC), she has given a deal how many women can become prior representatives of a legislative branch of the country after elections. Ak Zhol party proposing 6 women in their list and Birlik has one candidate, at least, Auyl ordered two places for women nominees.
Elections to RK will take place on March 20, 2016.
According to the latest data by CEC, 2852 women are registered to election race. This is the 17% of all nominees for Parliament election.
