The National Nuclear Company KazAtomProm mined 23,8 thousand tons of uranium in 2015. Uranium mining was increased to 4,2% than it was in 2014.

"Kazakhstan kept the leading positions in the world as the largest producer of natural uranium. In 2015, the companies which included the system of KazAtomProm holding mined more than 23,8 thousand tons of uranium (101% out of plan)," KazAtomProm official told to LS.

The volume of tantalum production that mined in Ulbinsk metallurgical plant accounted more than 141,2 tons, niobium production equals to 96,9 tons, beryllium is near to 1,7 thousand tons.

As reported earlier, the plan of production of KazAtomProm for 2015 was prognosed at the level of 23,4 thousand tons.
