Kazakhstan Restarted to Supply Russia with Electric Power

Kazakhstan is exporting electric power to Russia again. The power unit of JSC Ekibastuz GRES-2 station was put into operation since March 17, 2016.

According to Kapital.kz, the expected volume of the export of the electric power will be 1,8 billion kilowatts per an hour.

As the note in the press letter of JSC Samruk-Energo, The decisions, which made by government officials of Kazakhstan, concerns to the international practice of stimulation and encouragement of an export potential of electrical power.

The mutual agreements which concluded between large subjects the market of the electric power of Kazakhstan and Russia will provide money change, additional outputs, services and the income.

For the record, Kazakhstan temporary stopped delivering electric power because of the depreciation of Russian ruble to the Kazakhstani tenge in November 2014.
