President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the Decree on the early dissolution of Mazhilis of V convocation. Early elections in Mazhilis are appointed to March 20, 2016, Tengrinews.kz reports.

On January 13, 2016, Mazhilis deputies initiated to the early dissolution of the lower house of Parliament and get the new parliamentary elections.

"The cause implemented about dissolution was the current economic situation in the country. We assume this question is addressed in the right time," Mazhilis Deputy Nurlan Abdirov said.

On January 18, 2016, the Head of State Mr. Nazarbayev consulted with the chairman of Mazhillis Kabybulla Jakupov, the speaker of Senate Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister Karim Massimov. During the session, early parliamentary elections were considered.
