The constitutional court of Tajikistan signed to the new amendment to the Constitution of the country, according to which, Emomalii Rahmon, the current president of Tajikistan, can participate in presidential elections an unlimited number of times.

According to Kommersant, the Leader of the Nation, who founded unity and peace in Tajikistan, doesn't extend to the law "the same person can't be a president more than two terms in a row". At the present time, Parliament of Tajikistan has to set up the date of the referendum on signing amendments to the Constitution.

Emomalii Rahmon, 63, has been serving as the president of Tajikistan since 1994. He was given the status "The Leader of the Nation".

The Basic law of the country was adopted on November 6, 1994. Tajik Leader changed the term years of the president from 5 to 7 years, just to get a chance to stay his presidential post until 2020.

Before Emomali Rakhmon urged Tajik parliament to discuss the amendments to the Constitution to provide for reducing the age of the candidate for the presidency from 35 to 30 years because he wanted his son, Rustam Emomali, to be the next president of Tajikistan.
