The volume of cash money in the internal market of Kazakhstan was reduced by 5,1% in January 2016.
According to data from National Bank of Kazakhstan, deposits of monetary unit M1, which includes cash and liquidity in Kazakhstani tenge, decreased by 2% (₸2,971 trillion). However, money supply in Kazakhstan, all money in the economy, has increased by 2,8% (17,697 trillion tenges).
Monetary base of National Bank went down by 0,6% (₸4,722 trillion) in the first month of this year.
As reported earlier, the volume of money supply in Kazakhstan was reduced by 8,3%, according to statistics published in November 2015.
