Substantial electrical energy reserve has been created, Deputy Minister of Energy Bakhytzhan Dzhaksaliyev has said today at a briefing in the CCS.
"We have established a significant electrical energy reserve estimated higher by 22-23% of the maximum rate. In other words, if we need the peak power at 100% , in highest load days usually in the autumn-winter period, we meet the need at 122-123%," Mr. Dzhaksaliyev said.
At the same time, he stressed that the electricity industry is ready for the launch of new plants, new industrialization of subjects for further economic growth.
Vice Minister reminded that in Kazakhstan there is a system of maximum tariffs with their annual adjustment since 2009.
"This program had worked until the end of 2015, and within the limits of tariffs for 7 years 3 thousand MW power had been introduced, existing power plants were modernized and the overall development of the investment is estimated at about 1 billion 30 million tenge,” he said.
